The Canada-Africa Financing Forum is scheduled to take place on May 14 at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.
The platform follows commitments related to financing, trade and investment in African markets by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney at the G20 leaders' summit. During the Forum, investors, financiers, policy makers and industry leaders will connect with each other to unlock capital for investment in the African market.
Carney said of the Forum, “This Forum provides a valuable opportunity for leaders from government, finance and industry to explore new avenues for investment and partnership. By fostering dialogue and advancing practical solutions, we can unlock opportunities that benefit communities and economies alike.”
The Forum will include a number of high-profile guests presenting sessions throughout the day. Sessions will include success stories, capital deployment in private markets, mining and more. The heads of state of South Africa and Canada will also deliver messages during the forum.
This program is a must for anyone wanting direct access to dealmakers and capital allocators, especially if they are looking to establish partnerships with Canada. Most importantly, attendees will gain insight into where capital is being deployed and what the key players are offering in their respective markets.
“This forum is about capital deployment, not just negotiations,” said Gareth Bloor, president of the Canada-Africa Chamber of Business. “We are convening investors, institutions and project leaders who are actively shaping transactions across Africa – and connecting them directly with Canadian partners who are ready to work together.”
Forum organizers say space is limited and Those who are interested should register using this form as soon as possible.
Since the United States is a highly aggressive economic partner, this platform can assist African businesses looking to establish a foothold in North America. At the very least, Canada appears to be more receptive to foreign markets.
