South Africa will Hold your next municipal elections on November 4, President Cyril Ramaphosa said in a post on Twitter.

Municipal elections are held in the country every five years, and South Africans were waiting to know the date of the next local government vote.

The largest political party, Ramaphosa's ANC, has performed worse in municipal elections than in national elections, as voters express frustration over the deterioration of public infrastructure such as roads and water pipes.

In the 2021 municipal elections, the ANC received less than half the votes for the first time since the end of white minority rule in 1994.
