South African Vice President Paul Mashatile met Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to deepen technology, innovation and investment ties. Bilateral cooperation was discussed.

Hyderabad, June 3 (Language) South African Vice President Paul Mashatile met Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy here and expressed his country's interest in deepening cooperation with Telangana in the field of science, technology, innovation and investment.

The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding trade and investment cooperation between Telangana and South Africa, the Telangana CMO said in a post on X.

Mashatile assured that the High Commission of South Africa in New Delhi will actively facilitate stronger trade and institutional partnerships.

Mashatile, who is on an official visit to India, thanked the Telangana government for the warm welcome given to his delegation and extended his good wishes to the people of Telangana on the occasion of Statehood Day (June 2).

Mashatile said, “Telangana's remarkable growth trajectory is a testament to the determination, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of its people. As one of the youngest states in India, its emergence as a significant contributor to the country's GDP is highly commendable.”

Revanth Reddy expressed the state government's commitment to provide all necessary support to South African businesses interested in investing in Telangana.

The CM highlighted Telangana's investor-friendly policies, strong industrial ecosystem and wide range of opportunities available in key sectors.

Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu and several officials were present on the occasion.
