South Africa has rejected Nigeria's request for compensation for citizens evacuated during recent xenophobic tensions, with minister Khumbudzo Ntshavweni insisting “I was not stammering” after criticism from Shehu Sani.

South African Minister Khumbudzo Ntshavweni rejected the proposal, saying that the South African government would not compensate Nigerians for their properties.
