chairman Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Ngobani Johnstone Makhubu as the South African Revenue Service (SARS) Commissioner. He is set to take over the reins from Edward Kieswetter, who has led the Revenue Service through a significant restructuring phase and led the way to more than a historic R2tn ($120.9 billion) in net revenue collections for the 2025/26 financial year.
