Opposition parties have raised concerns over the African National Congress (ANC)'s approval of the National Health Insurance (NHI) Bill in the National Assembly, citing potential corruption and general inadequacy of public health facilities.
Health Minister Joe Phahala praised the legislation, saying: “This is one of the most revolutionary pieces of legislation introduced into this House since the beginning of our democracy in 1994.”
