Joburg's MMC leads crackdown on squatters in CBD
In a decisive action aimed at restoring order and security in the heart of Johannesburg, City of Joburg Mayoral Committee (MMC) Member for Human Settlements, Mlungisi Mabaso, on Tuesday led a high-impact operation targeting illegally occupied properties within the Central Business District (CBD). Together with officers from the Johannesburg Social Housing Company (JOSHCO), the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) and other key stakeholders, Mabaso's team raided the AA House building in addition to several other properties owned by JOSHCO.
