South African Revenue Service (SARS) has announced scheduled maintenance on its digital platforms this weekend as part of ongoing efforts to modernize its technology infrastructure and improve online services.

according to For SARS, maintenance is part of its strategy to ensure that its digital systems remain secure, reliable and capable of delivering streamlined services to taxpayers and traders.

Planned maintenance will take place during the following periods:

  • Saturday, June 6, Sunday, June 7, 2026 from 20:00 to 01:00
  • Sunday, June 7, 09:00 am to 13:00 pm

During these maintenance windows, users may experience intermittent disruption in accessing SARS e-filing, tax services and customs digital platforms.

SARS also warned that there may be delays in responses to transactions submitted during the maintenance period, including Customs Response (CUSRES) messages.

Smart, modern revenue authority

To minimize disruptions, the Revenue Service has urged traders and stakeholders to submit all goods declarations (bills of entry) and road manifest documents, especially priority consignments, before 19:00 on Saturday, June 6.

SARS said the upgrade aims to support its vision of becoming a smart, modern revenue authority with reliable, secure and accessible technology systems, while making it easier for taxpayers and traders to meet their compliance obligations.

The Revenue Service advised users to plan accordingly and complete any urgent transactions before the maintenance window begins.
