The South African national team has been forced to delay its departure for the World Cup Mexico Due to visa problems, the South African Football Association (SAFA) said on Sunday.
“The South African senior men's national team faced challenges regarding visas for some players and officials, and as a result the group could not travel to North America this morning as originally planned,” the association said in a statement.

South African Sports Minister Gaetan McKenzie said the team is now expected to fly out by charter on Monday.
“All @BafanaBafana players have received visas to travel to the United States, this includes the assistant coach, team doctor, head of security and an analyst,” he said on Twitter.
SAFA had previously said it was working “around the clock” to get the team to Mexico City as quickly as possible.
