A series of significant investment milestones have been instrumental in driving this momentum. Notably, Cape Town-based fintech infrastructure company Stitch has solidified the city's position as a fintech powerhouse, raising USD 55 million in Series B funding while expanding through the strategic acquisitions of Axipay and Efficiency Payments.

Reflecting on this promising trajectory, Western Cape Provincial Minister of Agriculture, Economic Development and Tourism, Dr. Ivan Meyer, said the innovation economy has become central to the province's growth strategy.
