Johannesburg production house Blue Array Productions has acquired Line Array modules through long-term D&B Audiotechnica distributor Stage Audio Works.
Blue Array Productions has become the first production company in South Africa to invest in D&B Audiotechnica's SL-Series ecosystem, acquiring 28 KSL Line Array modules and D40 amplifiers through Johannesburg-based distributor Stage Audio Works.
This investment marks the latest development in the partnership between the two companies that began in 2009, when Blue Array made its first D&B purchase – a Q-Series system supplied by Stage Audio Works. This was followed by investment in J-Series in 2011.
Blue Array says the KSL investment is partly driven by growing demand from international touring riders specifying the SL-Series, strengthening its position as a supplier to global artists touring in the region.
Cobus Van Rensburg, Founder of Blue Array Productions, said: “We started this journey in 2009, and today, investing in the KSL system was the natural next step, offering the level of control and efficiency now required to meet the modern production expectations of local and international riders.”
Stage Audio Works co-CEO Gustave Barnard said: “Cobus and his team have a reputation for technical precision, and they have long been an integral part of the D&B family here. This latest investment is a testament to a 15-year relationship built on trust and mutual drive to bring the best possible sound to South African audiences.”
