The Italians went ahead in the 32nd minute, as Koopmans doubled his tally with a driven shot from outside the box after Weston McKennie caught him.
In an extremely tense match, Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti received a yellow card for dissent shortly before halftime, much to the disappointment of the spectators.
Galatasaray equalized shortly after the break when Lang collected the rebound from Baris Alper Yilmaz's effort. Turkey then regained the lead on the hour mark as Davinson Sanchez scored from a perfect Sarah set-piece.
Juventus' troubles increased in the 67th minute when substitute Juan Cabal was shown a second yellow card for a reckless challenge, leaving his team to play the remainder of the match with 10 players.
Galatasaray took advantage of the numerical advantage and increased their lead in the 75th minute. Victor Osimhen provided a brilliant assist, passing the ball to Lang.
The Dutch winger expertly fired a right-footed shot from the center of the box, beating Di Gregorio from the spot.
The home team scored the fifth goal in the 86th minute. Osimhen created another chance, setting up substitute Sacha Boye, who fired a fierce shot to seal a great victory for the Turkish side.
A win for Galatasaray will give them a huge advantage heading into the second leg in Turin on February 25.
