Obsidian Systems will host Smarter.Tech '26 on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, a half-day virtual technology event for people running modern IT. Designed for practitioners, technology leaders, platform owners, and C-level executives who want practical insight into the systems, tools, operating models, and technologies that shape modern enterprise environments. The event runs from 08:30 to 14:00, and registration is free through QuickTicket.

Rather than a passive online broadcast, Smarter.Tech'26 is designed as an interactive virtual experience featuring keynotes, demos, networking tables, breakout discussions, partner spaces and direct access to experts in a format that mirrors the spontaneity and connection of an in-person event.

“Technology teams are being asked to modernize, automate, secure and deliver faster – often all at the same time,” says Muggi van Staden, CEO of Obsidian Systems. “smarter.tech '26 is about giving people direct access to insightful conversations, technical expertise and real-world experiences that can help them make better decisions.”

The program is organized around the real pressure points facing enterprise IT teams, from infrastructure resiliency and hybrid cloud operations to DevOps, service delivery, automation, governance, AI adoption and cyber resiliency.

The demos and expert sessions will cover a number of areas central to Obsidian's work with enterprise customers. These include fault-tolerant edge environments using ThinLinc, Linux, and Stratus ztC Edge; Atlassian Assets Beyond IT; AI agents and governance; Red Hat Lightspeed for AI-assisted IT operations; Red Hat Satellite for smart systems management; Atlassian Teamwork Collection; Atlassian Service Collection; And the modern MSP playbook for automation, visibility, and service delivery.

Van Staden and Obsidian's technology leaders will participate in a discussion on service management, MSP operations, device integration, delivery alignment, and the practical challenges facing teams responsible for keeping modern IT environments running.

For builders and practitioners, the event provides technical depth into DevOps, cloud, infrastructure, security, data and automation. Meanwhile, for executives, it provides an overview of strategy, governance and digital transformation. And for platform owners and technical leadership, it creates space to discuss adoption, integration, and system modernization with people working closer to the technology.

“Good technology events should leave people with more than just slides,” says Van Staden. “Our goal is for attendees to leave with practical ideas, useful connections, and clear thinking about the challenges their teams face every day.”
