Police Inspector General Gregory Coleman confirmed Tuesday that Jackson has been released to his legal counsel, but that strict conditions have been imposed to ensure he remains within the jurisdiction.

“The suspect has been ordered to turn over all travel documentation to the LNP,” Coleman said during a media briefing.

“The investigation is active, and we are awaiting final forensic and toxicology reports to determine the exact cause of death.”

According to authorities, Jackson has maintained his innocence.

Police said a preliminary autopsy was conducted at St. Moses Funeral Home over the weekend.

However, he indicated that some samples may be sent abroad for advanced toxicology testing to rule out poisoning or chemical interference.
