A suspected cable fire has disrupted Cape Town International Airport, as Airports Company South Africa confirmed a temporary halt to international flights.

Operations at Cape Town International Airport (CTIA) have been disrupted after a fire broke out on the terminal ground. Although the fire has been extinguished and all passengers and crew are reported to be safe, the incident has caused significant damage to infrastructure and operations.
